Rounded
Coffee table
Shaping the 3 mm sheet metal into this form by hand was no easy feat. The sheet metal was first cut to the correct dimensions. Utilizing a bending form, the sheet metal was shaped into the desired form using tie-down straps and a support beam. The sheet metal rests on black-charred oak slats, which were later brushed. Both the wood and the sheet metal were sealed with respective specialized oils.
Turning Point
Coffee table
A coffee table that serves both functional and relaxation purposes. An American walnut plank with a pivot axis is positioned between a 6 mm metal base. The table can function as a side table for coffee breaks, or it can be turned over to comfortably rest your feet. The table’s unique aesthetic arises from the combination of American walnut and the inlaid genuine leather cushion.
Wave
Bench
The “Wave” Bench is one of my initial pieces. As the name suggests, it draws inspiration from waves. Multilayered panels were roughly joined and glued. One wave after another was hand-carved using a custom router. Hours of sanding followed. An iron plate as a secondary leg creates a striking contrast. The wood was stained dark brown and oiled.
Leopard
Bench
This bench is comprised of an intricately hand-carved leopard pattern resting on iron legs inserted at an angle. The pattern was carved into the edge using a hollow chisel and then stained black. After staining, the wood was sanded once more, with the indentations retaining their dark color. The wood was sealed with a special oil.
Hanging Out
Clothes Rail
A clothes rail with a unique twist. A sheet metal was heated and hand-bent in various directions. To prevent rotation, a 20 mm Inox pipe was welded to the rack. Finally, everything was sealed with a custom oil finish.
Fractured Elegance
Bench
Larch wood beams are juxtaposed on naturally fractured porphyry stone. Indentations, simulating a broken stone, were meticulously hand-carved. The larch wood was vigorously brushed and then charred with fire, followed by a second brushing to bring out the light tones of the softer growth rings while the harder rings remained charred. This contrast of black and dark violet resulted from the charring process. The wood was then oiled.
Incognito
Sculpture
As a collaborative piece with digital artist SMVCKERS, I selected the digital object “Incognito” to bring into the physical realm. The core of this sculpture is made of rigid foam. Initially, the shape was roughly cut using a chainsaw and then refined with a hand router. To create a smooth surface, everything was coated with special automotive body filler and sanded smooth. After several hours of sanding, “Incognito” was painted with glossy black lacquer.

Floor Lamp
American walnut with a self-cast light panel. A hand-carved pattern complements the American walnut beautifully. A luminous panel cast with epoxy resin was inset into the walnut and is illuminated from behind with LEDs. The light can be dimmed and turned on/off using an elegant brass knob.
